Comme mon allemand technique laisse un peu � d�sirer (ben oui Miguel, m�me que je suis � Bienne ) on a communiqu� en Anglais et voil� les informations souhait�es (Pour les r�fractaires � l'anglais, j'ai not� en orange 2-3 mots traduisant bri�vement les propos):

But it is still a very small charger and has an advantage compared to the Smart turbo: en r�f�rence � mon id�e de monter un Turbo de Smart
1. the smart turbo has extremly small wheels which have worse efficiency. mauvais rendement du turbo de Smart
2. The smart charger is designed for high exhaust backpressure (very small turbine) -> very bad for twostrokes because they cannot produce lot of backpressure without killing the piston. efficiency is the key. E.g. you have to use very thin oil in the charger to reduce friction. le turbo de Smart est pr�vu pour de basses pressions, ce qui n'est pas lke cas sur un 2T

-base is a 200 cc PX engine with a MRB reed intake, 60 stroke crank and malossi barrel. nothing special...engines natural power output is around 30 HP
-clutch is reinforced (worb5), gearbox is standard since i do not ride the turbo on the street.
-first carb was a 30mm Mikuni (42 HP)...later I switched to a 35mm Mikuni (45HP)
-crank / rod is a standard 60 mm Mazzuchelli...no special part.
-carb position.

there are two things that caused this setup:
1. Turbine has to be at the end of the exhaust pipe. Why? Because without the pipe the engine would loose a lot of base power...but you need a lot of base power (min. 30HP) to spool the turbo! So i choosed to put the Turbo below the floorboard which is not so ugly like the supercharger setup. Turbo directement en sortie car ne peut tourner qu'avec une puissance de base minimale de 30PS
2. The carb has to be in front of the turbo, bacause I wanted a "draw through" setup. This has a big advantage. The carb is always metering correctly independent from boost pressure! If you put the carb behind the turbo ("blow through"), everything gets very complicated: the fuel bowl must be pressurized, a boost regulated fuel pump is necessary, an electronic power jet must enrich the mixture when the boost rises up...etc.etc. ...hate such complicated things...so I choosed the draw through setup. I didnt even had to rejet the carb! Now the carb is under the scooter...the long tube makes no problems if you put a plenum (of about 400 cc) before the reed intake...this plenum kills the pulsations and the carburation is no problem. montage du turbo en aspir� plus ais� et beaucoup moins contraignant

-which power supply do you mean? There is only an electric oil pump for the turbo powered by a 12 V-battery, nothing more.

Now some clarifying words:

1)Budget:
My Turbo Setup was around 200�...I did not put any special parts to my existing 30HP engine before mountig the turbo...
-40� for the turbo from ebay
-30� for the oil pump
-100� for everthing else...like tubes, oil tank, welding...

2) This turbo engine was an experiment for fun, nothing more!...you cannot ride the scooter daily! I mainly made tests on the dyno...thats why I didnt need any special reinforcements for the gear box or whatever. Ce point pourrait donc �tre am�lior�

The power curve is so aggressive that you have fear to accelerate...not controllable! the best word is "brutal". The thermal situation is bad. After two or three runs on the street the engine starts to overheat/knock in the combustion chamber (boost causes heat!)... I have no water cooling! The Turbo lag is so big, that in the first and second gear there is nearly no boost. The boost only comes up in the 3rd and 4th gear...so you cant even race a quartermile with it. �a c'est le probl�me le plus emm****, le refroidissement de la chambre de combustion

So please do not think my motor is a miracle...its simply a turbo on a two stroke, installed by a crazy guy searching for new interesting things to try...just for fun...low budget...no big calculations... mais c'est �a qu'est beau!

You can do this too. But one thing is important: You need base power. The naturally aspirated engine should have min. 28 to 30 HP at the wheel to supply enough energy to spool the current available small car turbos. Et ben je sais ce qu'il me reste � faire Trouver la base id�ale

eh ben! c'est cool d'avoir mis la main dessus! moi qui pensait � un tout petit turbo! avec �a, c'est plus facile � faire le tour du lac

pour la voisine c'est pas une Gtti.. mais Daihatsu avait sortie une 1.0 turbo..
on ira faire un tour � la casse pour trouver ton turbo.. apr�s notre semaine d'exa's
